The Indy Hawks captured the PAH Relay Shootout with convicing victories over the Indy Black Knights and Brownsburgh’s finest yesterday before an estimated hundred people in attendance.
The first game featured a physical and hard-fought game between the Hawks and Black Knights. The Black Knights had quickness that gave the Hawks fits but the Hawks were able to overcome it for a 71-58 victory.
Leading the Hawks in the scoring column were Davis 13, Bippus and Little with 12 each along with nearly everybody on the Hawks scoring.
The game with Brownsburgh’s Finest featured LeMarc Williamson dominating the 1st half on a variety of slashing drives and long -range bombs. Featuring a suffocating defense, the Hawks were able to control Brownsburgh’s 6’8 center, Sowell and hold him to 14 points.
Keith Westhoelter led the Hawks in the scoring column with 18 points, with LeMarc Williamson finishing with 15 along with Gabriel Paulone. A resurrected James Bingham gave a vintage performance with 14 points off the bench to provide the firepower.
The Hawks have improved towards 7-9 after a 84-83 loss to the Butler Stars Friday night prior to the shootout.
